Hardener (also known as epoxy curing agent or Part B) is a high-quality amine-based or anhydride-based formulation designed to be mixed with epoxy resin to initiate the curing reaction. When combined with our low-viscosity laminating or infusion resin in the correct ratio, the hardener creates a cross-linked polymer network resulting in a high-strength, rigid, and chemically resistant composite matrix. Available in multiple cure speeds – fast, medium, and slow – to match your specific processing needs, pot life requirements, and cure temperature profiles.
Step 1: Calculate
-
Determine total mixed quantity needed
-
Use specified mix ratio (e.g., 100:30 = 100g resin + 30g hardener)
Step 2: Measure
-
Weigh Part A (Resin) and Part B (Hardener) using accurate digital scale
-
Always measure by weight – not volume
Step 3: Mix
-
Pour hardener into resin container
-
Mix thoroughly for 2–3 minutes
-
Scrape sides and bottom of container repeatedly
-
Mix until uniform color and consistency (no streaks)
Step 4: Use
-
Apply within calculated pot life
-
Do not exceed pot life – resin will thicken and not wet out properly
