Demolding Fabric

 550

Benefit Explanation
Clean Demolding Peels away easily without sticking or leaving residue
Bond-Ready Surface Leaves a textured surface that requires no sanding or solvent wiping before secondary bonding
Contaminant Removal Removes amines, waxes, and other blush residues that can inhibit adhesion
Excess Resin Absorption Wicks away extra resin, improving fiber-to-resin ratio and reducing laminate weight
Void Reduction Helps evacuate trapped air and volatiles during vacuum bagging
Consistent Surface Profile Uniform texture ensures predictable adhesive bonding strength
Protects Layup Seals the laminate surface during storage or transport before final cure

Demolding Fabric (also known as release fabric, peel ply, or release ply) is a specially woven nylon or polyester fabric used as a release layer in composite laminate processing. Applied directly onto the wet laminate or prepreg surface before vacuum bagging, this fabric serves two critical functions: it absorbs excess resin to optimize fiber-to-resin ratio, and after cure it peels away cleanly leaving a textured, contaminant-free surface ready for secondary bonding, painting, or additional lamination.
